We are very excited to let you know applications are now open for the $10,000 Windmill Trust Scholarship for rural and regional artists in NSW.
Life has been challenging for regional NSW over recent years. Drought, fires and COVID19 have brought unprecedented hardship onto our communities, and artists and the creative community have been particularly hard hit.
We are pleased that our $10,000 scholarship for 2020 is going ahead as planned. Applications are now open online at NAVA and are open until Sunday 19 July 2020.
The scholarship is for a professional visual art, craft or design practitioner and provides assistance towards:
• Independent artistic research or practice such as studio rental, material, or labour costs.
• Professional development and education
• Cost of exhibiting work such as framing, freight, space rental, promotion, artists' fees, installation and documentation
We understand that it is a difficult time to plan for the future, but we encourage rural and regional artists to apply for much-needed support. If you would like further information on the scholarship call NAVA on 02 9368 1900.
The winner will be announced in August/September 2020.
We encourage you to share this information with artists, galleries and communities in regional NSW.
Good luck
Julia Harvey
