Joint Winner - Rachel’s work is mainly ‘in-situ’ and she responds to the immediacy of drawing and painting from life. “What moves me to respond is noticing a relationship of shape, line, form and colour and the interaction of these elements with light” Rachel says “I love the way light can transform what we see”.

Rachel’s awards include the Blake Prize for Religious Art, 1996; Adelaide Perry Prize for Drawing, 2006 and the Mosman Art Prize in 2013.

Her work is now held in public collections including the Art Gallery of New South Wales, St Patricks Cathedral, Parramatta and Macquarie Bank.

Represented by King Street Gallery on William in Sydney.
